Community Fellowship (CF) is a Christ-centered ministry to Richmond area adults. While most of us are single and 30-and-over, all are welcome. CF is a ministry of St. Giles, West End and Third Presbyterian churches, serving people from many different churches and traditions as well as those without a church background.

It was in 1999 after prayerful consideration that CF settled upon an identity statement: "Reaching Singles, Shaping Lives for Christ."

This statement encompasses the fact that we would like to maintain our focus on evangelism as well as discipleship and fellowship among singles.

Out of this statement grew our core values which we desire to cultivate on an ongoing basis:

• Fun: We want everyone who comes to Community Fellowship events to have a great time!
  

• Welcoming: We want everyone who attends a CF event-especially the unchurched-to experience an uncommonly warm welcome, to feel a sense of belonging and to be touched by the love of Christ.
  

• Christ-Centered: We want to continue to distinguish ourselves as a place where people are challenged and encouraged by the Christian message and a Christian life-style.
  

  While we know that God has given us an enduring identity through our mission statement "Reaching singles...," we continue to seek Him for fresh vision. We believe that our current vision for this season is two-fold:
  

• Outreach: CF leadership has matured to the point that we can consistently verbalize that God is calling us to outreach in this season. We are currently pursuing how God will lead us to make that happen.

• Leadership Development: We continue to be blessed by the amazing work God has been doing in all of our lives. He has brought people from the sidelines into leadership roles of various degrees. Leadership gifts have emerged and people have grown in Christ even as well as maturing in leadership. We look forward to seeing more of what God is doing and helping people reach their full leadership potential through an encouraging environment of opportunities. On an important note, we believe the definition of "leadership" to be very broad-including all those who help behind the scenes as well as those who are more visible. There are many roles of leadership within this group-all of which are important (1 Cor.12).
